3 · A Moped's Page — History, Rego, Owner and Warranty

Updated 15 October 2026

Click any row on the Stock page (or any VIN anywhere in the app) to open that moped’s page. This is where you answer “where is this bike, who has it, and what’s happened to it?”

What’s on it

  • Details — VIN, engine number, model, colour, batteries, status, location (with row and level if set), shipment, carton number, date received, cost (if entered), and notes.
  • Order / pick — the order it’s allocated to and any pick it’s on, with links.
  • Where it’s been — a strip showing its trail, e.g. On the water → Rockdale → Lilyfield → EEE → Lilyfield → Delivered.
  • Movement log — every move with the date it happened, from → to, the pick/order/shipment it was on, and who recorded it.

Registration (demo and rental bikes)

For bikes we’ve registered ourselves:

  1. In the Registration box, click Add rego and enter the plate and rego expiry date.
  2. From 30 days before expiry it shows under Rego due on the dashboard (red once overdue).
  3. When it’s renewed, click Renewed and choose 3, 6 or 12 months. The new expiry is saved and logged.

For a bike that’s been sold, the plate and rego expiry can be entered with the owner (Record owner / Edit) — they go across to the customer’s HubSpot contact.

Owner and warranty

The Owner & warranty box records who the end customer is, so a warranty claim can be checked by VIN.

  • Direct sales fill this from the order automatically.
  • For bikes sold through a dealer, the dealer records the retail sale in their portal. You can also click Record owner and enter it yourself.
  • The page shows when the warranty runs until.

If HubSpot is connected, the box also shows whether the VIN has been sent to the customer’s HubSpot contact, with a Send to HubSpot / Retry button if it failed. A HubSpot failure never stops a delivery.

Answering a warranty call

  1. Ask for the VIN (last 5 is enough), the plate, or the owner’s name.
  2. Type it into the Stock search and open the bike.
  3. Check the owner, the sale/delivery date and the warranty end date before going further.
